isnt the word meant to refer to those unbelievers who are second class citizens, and who..in islam..it is perfectly acceptable to discriminate against.
just as although jihad can mean struggle in a vague unspecified way...it has specific meaning in respect of teritorial expansion...and the mission to spread the faith.
