HI,

I need to write a sentence like this.

For paid advertisements, the images in the advertisements are usually have different prices.

is this sentence OK.

(here the fee for each image used in an advertisement is determined by the side of the image. Therefore, images of different size have different fees.) I hope this make it clear.

Should I use prices or price. Why.

I tend to use "prices" as there are more then one sentences.
But, if I use a "a price" in the sentence, what does the sentence mean then? Does it mean all the sentences have the same price? I have to be carefully here. please help?

ever since she adopted that africa kid, we are expected to throw her a parade and drool all over ourselves about what a hero she is.

this is the same woman who bragged that she never changed a diaper in her life and that includes her own kids. she has maids, nannies, and servants to raise this africa kid while she gets to tote him around like an exotic pet and look superior. anyone with half a brain knows this is all a publicity stunt. i just don't get it. why does this make her a hero?

According to the American Heritage Dictionary, it can mean, "extremely bad or unpleasant", or it can mean, "filled with awe". Strange, huh?

I know these are not synonyms,
But my nephew asked the difference of the meaning of these two words,
it was not easy for me to explain clearly.
Can you do it with fine examples? Please.

I have noticed that Americans prounce the name of this country as I mentioned above; people, TV, etc. , including soldiers who came back. I understand that the word "tide" is prounced "tyed" because the consenant following the "I" is followed by a vowel "E", but this should not be the case in the word "Iraq". Could someone explain that to me

i've noticed in cartoons and comics you always see a character sleeping with a bubble over his/her head that reads "ZzZzZz"

where did this originate from? what does the "Z" mean? obviously they're sleeping, but does it have meaning?

I need to find the correct way to convey my thought in this sentence which is in a business letter. Basically it's "I respect your profession and at no disrespect to you but I find it outrageous that..." Something about it doesn't seem right. Can you please help me out?
