Déjà Vu means the feeling that is happening now has happened before in exactly the same way : a strange sense of déjà vu*

Deja Vu is the feeling you have done something before, or been to someplace before when it can be demonstrably proven that you haven’t. Typically, if you ask a person experiencing deja vu when the previous occurrence was, they won’t know or will only have a “fuzzy idea”. Denzel Washington’s movie by the same name takes a differently tack - that your memory of a previous occurrence is actually a true memory of the event having occurred before, albeit along a different timeline.

When you experience a moment for the first time and you have a weird feeling that you had experienced that moment in the past but you haven't really. It's sth like an illusion your brain creates.Pretty weird huh? When I first had Deja Vu I thought I was going crazy!

Deja (in french) = already...."Vu" is the past tense of "voir" = seen
Deja vu = already seen, its said when you see something (like a scene) and you get the feeling that you've seen it before. (for example, you look at the street for a while and then you see a blond girl wearing a red dress passing by....you say deja vu cause you know you've seen this scene before, you've looked at the street before and a blond girl with a red dress passed by at that moment but you dont know when). It happens to me alot...they say that while you're in your mother's womb,God shows you some of whats gonna happen to you in life and it sticks in your memorey (thats what I read somewhere...dont really remember where).

It is an illusion or weird feeling of having been there already, or having seen that place before.

Experiencing an event as if you have experienced it before although you haven't. A memory aberration.

It is French for "already seen", and is used that way in English, too.
