HI,
I need to write a sentence like this.
For paid advertisements, the images in the advertisements are usually have different prices.
is this sentence OK.
(here the fee for each image used in an advertisement is determined by the side of the image. Therefore, images of different size have different fees.) I hope this make it clear.
Should I use prices or price. Why.
I tend to use "prices" as there are more then one sentences.
But, if I use a "a price" in the sentence, what does the sentence mean then? Does it mean all the sentences have the same price? I have to be carefully here. please help?

No, it's not okay. Say...
"The images in the paid advertisements have different prices depending upon the size of the image used."
If you use "price" the sentence becomes meaningless. You MUST use "prices."

Hey there--
I would suggest writing the sentence this way:
"Prices for images in advertisments vary, depending on the given image's size."
Several things about the sentence you wrote:
1) The "are" is unnecessary;
2) The "usually" is probably in correct, since I'm guessing that, all other factors being equal, a larger image is always more expensive than a smaller one.
3) Your sentence doesn't tell us *why* different images have different prices. The corrected version includes at least one reason (size). I'm guessing there are other factors as well though: for instance, black and white versus two-color versus full color printing. Maybe those are explained in subsequent sentences? :)
4) Speaking of subsequent sentences (or lack thereof), you could include more in THIS sentence to explain more about how pricing works by writing the sentence like this: "Prices for images in advertisments vary, depending on the given image's size; the larger the image, the greater the cost."
Okay. Hope that is enough to give you what you need! Good luck to you. :)
P.S. Use "prices," not "a price." "A different price" wouldn't make sense unless there was a base price to which it was referring. "Prices" means that the rates are being compared to one another.

Use price, like the price of each image is different depending on the size of the image advertised.
The first sentence is not right. For paid advertisement, the images that are advertised have different pricing./prices
You repeat yourself, saying therfore the images of different size have different fees.

I think you should just use prices. Like this: The images in paid advertisements have different prices than non-paid advertisements. (or something of the sort)

Prices is fine, your problem is an extra "are". It should be this:
For paid advertisements, the images in the advertisements usually have different prices.

How about:
"The images used within paid advertisments will incur different prices depending upon their size."
