Why “have and had” is used simaltaneously?

For Example
1 “I have had a Pen."
What does it mean, whether it shows that I had in the past if it is the object then what is the logic to use have?

2"I had had a Pen" What does it mean why "had" is used twice?
“He does not get paid” shouldn’t this sentence be

Is there anything wrong with the following statement?

"My musical career has taken me all over the world and I am so fortunate to enjoy great tasting food everywhere I go"

or should it be,

"My musical career has taken me all over the world and I have been so fortunate to enjoy great tasting food everywhere I've gone"

Pls advise what tense rule applies to each.

Thanks!

His machine consisted of a closed vessel filled with water into which steam under pressure was introduced.

I need to re-word that first sentence for a report that I need to do. I must be having a brain-fart or something, because I can't think of another way to say that sentence.
