I've been having a mental block concerning this word for the longest time.... please help me! lol

It's used to describe someone wanting to do or say something but someone else has just done it, and so it would be awkward because they did it first, so although the thought is there, it's not the same.

Madeleine L'Engle I know uses this word when Charles Wallace kisses Mrs. Whatsit after the conversation concerning her starhood, and Meg wants to kiss her as well, but feels it would be - and here I can't remember! I wish I had the book in front of me!!!

Would it make sense to say that something is a tenuous part of your life if you're trying to say it's a small and nonpriorital part?

If an exceptionally lengthy lexicon were ubiquitous, would plain vocabulary be therefore more challenging to grasp?

Parstunza: A fake word I created (and googled to make sure it really isn't a word). I am looking for a definition. Please state whether it will be a verb (v.), noun (n.), adjective (adj.), adverb (adv.), etc. Please give a detailed definition (or multiple if you decide it can have different meanings) and 2 examples (use it in a sentence twice). The best definition will be the winner.

(The last word was "letoflubie.")

Points for original and humourous answers

Can you quote two (or more) contrasting proverbs such as:

Too many cooks spoil the broth,
Many hands make light work,
A watched pot never boils,
Too many cooks slicing the salami,
The early bird caches the worm.

There's many a lip 'twixt cup and slip!
Don't cross a bridge 'till you come to it.

Bees have honey in their mouths and a sting in their tails

.............over to you............
