Unfortunately it's a contraction of two words, or at least made up of two parts. Dys - a prefix that suggests bad, poor, lack of, as in dysfunctional, and -lexia meaning words effectively, as in lexicon - language

I'm dyslexia and I can't for the life of me even attempt to try and spell dyslexia.

all words are hard to spell if you are truly dyslexic.

I know my wife is.

It actually has a word root form from Greek I believe...sorry it is so hard, if you are studying to be a doctor, you have lots harder words than that!
