Can you name more words in which the "c" is pronounced "see"?
And yes, I know it's not actually just the "c" that's being pronounced "see" in coelacanth; it's the combination of "coe-," but anyway it's the first letter of that series of letters and thus begins the "see" sound. So let me revise the question accordingly: Can you name more words in which "c," in combination with other letters--or by itself, if you can find one--makes the "see" sound?
And I don't mean acronyms like CSPAN. I guess C-grade would be ok, since it is used as a noun: "He got a C grade." But I think that's kind of cheating because it's already understood that we're alphabetically talking about a C as a opposed to an A or a B.
Okay, I just found another 3: coelenteron, coelenterate and Coelenterata. Coelenterates are animals such as jellyfish that are radially symmetrical, have saclike bodies with only one opening, and have stinging tentacles. Coelenteron is the saclike body; Colenterata is the phylum.
