if the focus was on 2's the it wouldn't it stand to reason that we would have a pair of bra, right?

just thought i would throw that in there.

more food for thought

we drive on a parkway, park in a driveway

also on cooking directions, why does it say "pre-heat" the oven. why not just simply "heat" the oven. do we heat it before we heat it?
is it not clear that we should'nt put the food in untill the oven has heated, or do food companies think that people cannot follow directons?

similar things; pre-flight boarding. is there such a thing a in-flight boarding? or post-flight boarding?

near-miss. wouldnt that be a hit?

thanks for responding, enjoy the points

I heard a saying awhile back and I don't know the full saying but it was something along the lines of "Don't throw rocks at a glass house". Does anyone know what the exact saying was and also what does it mean? Thanks sooooo much to anyone who helps!

I understand a pair of shoes, a pair of socks, even a pair of legs. Obviously because there are two of each of them.

So why in the world do we say a pair of knickers when there is only one item?
