One of mine is "Shadayim", which means breasts in Hebrew. It reminds me of the episode of "Coupling" in which Jeff meets the beautiful Israeli girl and thinks her name is "Shadayim".

My world history class is curious as to why the vikings were referred to as such. We noted that certain countries, such as France and Austria, obtained those names due to the tribes that occupied them around the time of the Roman Empire(the Franks and Osters), and wondered if a similar connection could be made concerning the Vikings.

I am an American living in Canada. Yes, I had to learn a lot of different ways of pronouncing things, but SO WHAT!! Even spelling can be different sometimes. Anyone making fun of Canadians, should look in their own south, and try to figure out what people are saying. Besides, the differences can make for some fun teasing and kibitzing back and forth. Canadians are good natured - they've had to be, and they sure enjoy a good rep around the world, which can't always be said for Americans.

Always the clown of the class
My friends always see me happy
But 'happy' is just a mask
Nobody knows
Whenever I'm alone in my room
I sing another tune
I'm going down
Whenever i hear the sound
The sound of my tears
But I can't do any other
Than listen
Listen to the sound of my tears

"Butterfly"

Spreading her wings & learning to fly,
It might be hard, but she is ready to try.
Part of the process, is learning how to let go,
But her learning to stand on her own is starting to show.

It starts off with putting one foot in fron of the other,
And one step at a time.
To learn that she is her own person and not attached to the hip of her mother.
To learn that she is an adult and to make her own nickels & dimes.

She has to learn that this is wehere the journey begins,
There will be many neat experiences and spins.
Responsibility has to come along the way,
For her spouse, kids, pets, & each new day.

To learn that God already knows of her many plans,
And that she is always in the safty of His great & mighty hands.
To learn that she can either make it or break it by the choices & decisions that she makes emerge,
To learn that from right now the future is hers.

Thanks for reading.

Recently I've noticed that peoples spelling is getting worse. For example, a colleague of mine at work spelt the word 'though' as 'thoughe'. I recent question on here used 'comeing' instead of 'coming'.

Spelling and grammar of the English language is what makes it so special. What is wrong with these people!?

If in doubt, you can always use a spell checker! :)
