These words are called palindromes. The word palindrome is derived from the Greek palíndromos, meaning running back again (palín = AGAIN + drom–, drameîn = RUN). Another less famous term is "carcenic" words (cancer= crab) because crabs can move sideways in both directions (left and right).
Examples of such words are: racecar, deed, redivider, etc.
Also, there palindromes phrases, e.g. madam I'm adam.
