Overall, I received a 2270-- perfect scores on the critical reading and writing. My dilemma is this: although I am not planning on majoring in a math-related subject (I'm looking into journalism), I do hope to attend a competitive college. Also, as I am a year ahead of grade level in math, I'm positive I could receive a better score... but is it worth retaking the SAT for it?

That the special ed kids' standardized test scores are combined with the rest of a school's? This lowers the average generally, and makes the school look like crap. BOo on them.

Well, I'm a 7th grader from Wasington State. In order to gradiate high school the govornment expects us to pass the WASL(Washington Assenment of Student Learning). If we don't pass, than we don't gradiate. What if there is a good student that just happens to do pourly on tests, do you think it would be fair to have them not gradiate, just because of ONE test?

I am in Nursing school, and as of now, have sailed through the exams. Now they are doing the "best answer" tests, and I got a 76, which is one point away from failing at my school.
Does anyone know the key to taking these tests? I dont think its hours of study, because that no longer works for me.
Any advice>?

I'm taking the GRE on November 20th, and I want to hopefully attend grad school by fall 2007. Am I taking the GRE's too late, and can I still retake them? I heard some schools tentatively accept you and wait for you to get a sufficient GRE score.

Listening to radio 4 this morning a exam body is awarding marks for the use of text language in and English Exam eg
2b or not 2b as opposed to To be or not to be, a quote from Shakespear. They would not recieve marks for spelling but they would for the answer. I think this will lead to the decline of the English Language and make Higher study harder for the children. What do you think?
