I'm thinking about teaching a class or two--I took a Princeton Review class for the GMAT and it really helped. Is this a good job? What are the upsides/downsides?

I am a Master Teacher for the San Jose Kaplan center, and it is a fabulous job. Aside from all the perks of working for a big company - portability, being paid for every work-related activity s.a. training, never having to do your own research, material-writing, or advertising, as well as discounts from many sister-companies - the job also comes with health benefits, presenter training, career opportunities, and the satisfaction of knowing that you've made someone's future brighter. p.s. technically, starting your own company using our methods is breaking a confidentiality&non-comp. agreement every employee signs. It's also in my opinion, immoral.

i went to princeton review.

the teachers told me the upsides and the downsides of their work... they told me that you dont get lots of money, but it's what they enjoy doing the most.. and after they finish teaching there, you can go and make your own SAT institution, mixing some of their methods of SAT approach and their own.

and this IS a good job.
