It is a test of a person's academic achievement, which is also an indication of ability. For example: They may be able to form a proper question, that is grammatically correct.

It is not "kept".... but "keep" and perhaps your writing problem is why you do not like the SAT, since you also gave no other reason for your argument.

Upon entering college, a student s expected to be at a certain level. The "standard" exam shows aptitude and the level at which the student is. However, like anything else I do not believe one test on one day should be the sole determining factor. You could be sick or just "off" that day. By the way it is Keep not kept.
