I am in college studying to be a teacher and am writing an activity plan dealing with faces. I am going to explain to them that we can sometimes tell what people are thinking by the look on their face (Surprised, scared, nervous, excited, happy) and then I am going to give them a chance to make some facial expressions while looking in the mirror. My professor says that I need another activity to go along with it....something they can do hands on but I cannot think for the life of me what that might be...Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each
other the silent treatment. Suddenly, the man realized that the next day,
he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight.
Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper,
"Please wake me at 5:00 AM." He left it where he knew she would find it.
The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM
and he had missed his flight. Furious, he was about to go and
see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by
the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up."
Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.

She would like to put two liquids with different viscosities and with different colors in a plastic bottle so that, when shaken, it will turn to the color of the mixture but will separate out again into the individual colors. For example, she would like to have one liquid yellow and a second one blue so that when shaken, the mixture turns green. After some time, the liquids would separate and return to their original colors until shaken again. She saw such a mixture in a store a few years back but was not teaching at that time and she can't find them again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My child was abused at her daycarecenter. Where I can contact in TX?
From daycare screen I saw my daughter's teacher took her blanket away rudely
from her hand & throw to the top of shelf without any explanations. Let her cryed out by her self. I rushed in, hold her up & went to the
instructor's office rightway.
Next day, the instrutor told me, that teacher said she told my daughter twice to put her blanket away, but my daughter said no.
Also, teacher had bad day she was frisdrdby her family problem. so she did that to my 3 years old daughter. If I wouldn't stop by the screen & find this horrible things rightway, I can't think how poor this little innerscent girl's hopeless day. The instructor also said to me that she does not like I share those information to the other parents. She said I exchange phone number with other parents to share the information at daycarecenter was against law

Standing front of screen, chat, exchang phone # we did all the time.

My son is 4 years old and he's in Pre-K, and goes all day. He leaves the classroom and lunchroom, runs away from the teachers, hides under chairs and generally will not follow the rules or instructions. He's even run outside before they could catch him. He throws fits, screams and cries, and even throws himself on the floor in his "hissy fits" when he doesn't want to do something or doesn't get his way. They (the school ... teachers and principals) are already near their wits ends with him, and are suggesting that he has "problems" and are wanting him evaluated for special education programs. Is this standard? Or are they just not wanting to work with my child? Any ideas, suggestions or advice out there? I really do need it!
