Sustainable development have been defined so many times by different NGOs and of course the UN in such long worthy sentences and often it is very difficult for many people to grasp and understand and implement. How do we define the term in a much more user friendly way so that we could educate others to follow and understand it in an easier format with graphical diagrams where possible?

The school has what is called the apple room. This room is little bit bigger than a closet, has no windows, and only two desks. On for the teacher and one for the student. If the student gets out of hand they are sent to the apple room until they calm down. Is this appropriate for public schools? I asked the question at the Parent Teacher Organization meeting and the teachers acted like it was perfectly normal to put a child in a closet alone with a teacher. In this day and age I would think that would be setting the school up for litigation in the event that a teacher was inappropriate with a student in the apple room. The older children in the school consider it a right of passage to scare the kindergartners and compare the apple room to the CHOCKY in the Matilda movie. Is this leagl?

"Zero Tolerance" Rules and Laws Require Severe
Punishment Not Only for Possessing Drugs or Guns, but
Also Any Item Which "Looks Like" a Prohibited Item.

Zero-tolerance policies spread in the 1990s as a tool to fight drug use and violence on campuses. Schools often suspend or expel students for having weapons or drugs, which can include over-the-counter medicine, says educational psychologist Cecil Reynolds of Texas A&M University. Verbal threats, fighting or sexual harassment also can get kids booted, he says. "There are cases such as the kindergarten boy who hugged two classmates. His teacher reported him for sexual harassment, and he was suspended."
