Technically, you do not need a permit to teach yoga. However, many studios do require that you have at least undergone a yoga teacher training. Furthermore, they might also look for accreditation from Yoga Alliance and the number of hours of training (the minimum is 200 hours) It is quite rare for studios to accept teachers with no formal training, and even if you are very good, it is quite essential to be credited by Yoga Alliance.

You will also need insurance to teach yoga. If you plan to set up your own studio, will will definitely need a business permit.
