This is a two fold question. I would think if you did not have complete support for your position of taking care of these young children. If you were to have a parent that felt their child was perfect when in fact the child wasn't I would think that would be more stressful then just a naughty child. Parents and Teachers need to give the child unity just as Mom and Dad should do in order not to confuse the child. I'm not saying they should always agree but they should appear to be unified and discuss any problems privately to resolve them.

I think children could be stressfull for some people. Sometimes we can workout our emotions and allways think positive. I think stress could be transmitted from parents to the kids and from kids to employees the most important thing is to help them first with stress. For example having like 15 min of yoga, than they can relax on a mat or carpet and you will tell them they have to release all negative emotions and then they can start a relaxed day that will be also relaxing for you. There are some tapes I guess in the library or dvds of yoga for kids I've seen them in some magazines this will work for everyone. You can also recommed that to the parents.

It's a toss up between the kids and their parents. Either group can quickly drive child care centre employees bananas.

Do you mean what causes stress for the employees? Children who are not disciplined, or the employee may not know how to handle certain situations.

Let's see:
-parents who drop their children off, but then stay there and make a big production about not leaving their child.(This gives mixed signals to children, then they don't want to stay)
-allergies to food. So many children have allergies, and you have to be careful about that. Then, if you are going out, do you have all the Epi-pens that you need.
-how about the parents who let their chilren stay up until 10 or 11, then drag them out of bed, so the children are absolutely miserable the next day. (And it's not the kids fault, is it?)
-oh, my mom doesn't make me eat crusts, and I don't like milk. Then they don't want to eat, but they are hungry a little while later.
-parents who dress their children in terrible expensive, beautiful clothes, only to complain that their children got paint or playdough on them. (kids,go figure?!?)
All well, do you want more??
