ok i am in 10th grade...i was assigned a metaphor of myself. i was suppose to write at least 4 lines.
---directions: Find an object that captures your personality and reveals who you are. State the metaphor on the first line. Now think of 4 more aspects of that object that can be used to
reveal bout ur self.

I am like a calculator as there is endless possiblities,
I think logically and rarely make mistakes and when i do, i know when to correct myself,
Math is my Strongest subject that i am particulary good at and nothing else,
Calculating simple data comes as easy as pressing the equal key,

what did you think of it thus far? also can you guys tell me what the closure might be...plz i wanna get a good grade. plz tell me a closure...thank you

the directions are to solve these, then pick one point that is a solution, then one point that is not a solution that satisfies the equation as being true.

3x-y<-4

2x+4y<=-12...[the <= means greater than or eaual to]

now these say solve the systems of inequalities by graphing. name one point that is a solution and one point that is not.

y>1/2X-3
y<2x

y y<-2x+1

x-y<=2
x+2y>=1

3x-2y<=-1..[that is not "equals" -1..it is less than or equal to]
x+4y>=-12

I have to write an essay for my English class, and the prompt reads:

"Equality, respect, and justice are major themes in the novel A Gathering of Old Men. Select one of these issues and identify it's role in the novel.

In a well-developed essay that sites specific examples from the book, identify Gaines' (the author) message about ONE of these theme topics. Explain how this issue has implications for you as a reader or for others in our contemporary society."

I understand all but the last part, about implications. What is it asking for? I don't get it. Please help.

I can understand helping someone grasp a concept, but it seems like most of the questions are from kids asking someone else to do their homework for them. If they don't figure it out on their own, whats the point of going to school? There is something that happens in your brain when you figure it out yourself...new networks are formed and synapses fire up in your brain, and you then know and understand the problem and the solution.

By providing the answers, are you helping the child to lear or just cheat?
