How do you convert this repeating decimal number to a fraction?
0.4578 with a repeat bar over 4578.

I'm having trouble with these and I'm wondering if there are any sites that explain this math thoroughly so I could understand it. Thanks in advanceee!

I dont know how. I am normally very good at hand written math, so I should know. But using a calculator I got 1526/3333 since it was repeating. If it werent to repeat, the answer would be 2289/5000. Sorry I could not explain how though.

If you want a fraction with that accuracy... turning one into a fraction you usually use the round off rule.
take note that when the decimal repeats a 4 will follow the 8
you would have 4578/10000. or to make the fraction less accurate you would have 478/1000 or 48/100 or 5/10 or 1/2

you can reduce them to 2289/5000, 239/500, 12/25, 1/2
