Among them that a player cannot run with the ball. The ball may be thrown in any direction with one or both hands. But cannot be held with the arms or body.
The original baskets that players threw the ball into were half-bushel peach baskets. These baskets were nailed to the railing of the gym’s balcony at either end of the court. Whenever a goal was scored, a person standing on the balcony had to reach in and take the ball out of the basket.
Basketball was immediately popular. It spread to YMCAs throughout America and in many other countries. Women’s basketball was introduced at Smith College in 1892 and rapidly took off. By 1905, there were private athletic clubs for basketball. There were high school and college teams.
Basketball was first played at the Olympic Games in Berlin, Germany, in 1936. it was the very first time the Olympics included basketball. James Naismith himself threw the opening jump ball at that first basketball game in the Olympics.

The game of basketball was invented in America. It was invented by a physical education teacher from Canada. His name was James Naismith. Basketball was devised in 1891 by Naismith. Naismith was employed in the job of teaching a high-spirited group of young men in a gym class at the YMCA in Springfiled, Massachusetts; he was instructed to create a new game that would keep the young men in his class busy indoors. This was because the winter was too cold and windy in Springfield to be playing a sport outdoors. Naismith tried to think up a game that would be easy to learn but would be challenging; it had to be one that could be played indoors by a large number of players and that would give a lot of exercise.
Players used a soccer ball. Players had to throw the ball into raised baskets, so he called the game “basketball.” It took Naismith only about an hour to make up the original rules for basketball. There were thirteen of these rules. (Continue)

For example, you would look for "small domestic carnivore" and the dictionary would give you "cat," or "game played with two rackets and a net" and the dictionary would give you "tennis." (it's sort of an opposite dictionary...?)

I have to do an archaeology paper. Here's the instructions:

This paper will evaluate information on two or more websites on archaeological projects (NOT artifact sales or archaeological associations or journals). Pick any of thousands on the Internet to describe and compare in terms of what you have learned in class. DO NOT just hand in a printout of the websites (this is not required unless you want to add it in), but a WELL-ORGANIZED CRITIQUE AND COMPARISON stating the origins of the websites, the intended audience, research goals and theoretical perspectives, and how this relates to what you have learned in class.

I dont mind doing the paper I just need two good websites to compare. Links appreciated but not required. Please help me! I'm so stuck! Thanks!
