OK so I won't tell you to make a volcano. It is too obvious. Compare the chemical composition and reactions of Baking soda and baking powder to vinegar and how they differ. What in baking they actually are used for in cakes, cookies, etc.... They have a purpose in baking for their different chemical reactions to different ingredients. Then bake a cake or make some cookies for the class if you have to present it. Classes love that and it wouldn't be something your teacher would have thought you would do I'm sure.

you can make a volcano with those ingredients mix them together and it will spew....

To make an erupting volcano you will need:

A volcano - Talk to an art teacher about making a volcano out of paper mache or plaster. If you're in a hurry to make your volcano, use a mound of dirt outside.
A container that 35mm film comes in.
Red and yellow food coloring (optional)
Vinegar
Liquid dish washing soap
What to do:

Go outside
Put the film canister into the volcano at the top
Add two spoonfuls of baking soda
Add about a spoonful of soap
Add about 3 drops of the red and yellow food coloring

Now for the eruption!:

Add about an ounce of the vinegar into the container and watch what happens.

My grandmother uses baking soda and vinegar to clean out the sink drain. It foams and bubbles. That is all I know!
