Help with Weight and Viscosity?

Hi, I'm doing a science project and my topic is: Does the viscosity of a liquid affect its weight? I'm not really sure how to research this topic. A website, an explanation, or maybe a book would help. Also, any pointers on what I should do in this science project would help too. Thanks in advance!

How do you solve this problem? 3/(x-2) + 2 = 18/(x+1)?

3/(x-2) + 2 = 18/(x+1)
Find the sum of all the distinct values of x.

The answer is 8.5 (I have an answer sheet) but how do you get it? Can you cross multiply even though there's a + 2?

am writing an essay about my experience about moving from my home country to another country. I described that I had hardship when I just arrived to the new place, then eventually adapt here.

5 - 2 | 3x - 4 | = -5

| x | < 2 I think this one is { x | -2 < x < 2 } ?

| x - 1| < 4

| x + 2 | is smaller than or equal to 6

| x - 3 | + 2 > 7

| 2y - 9 | > -5
