A thesis statement is a statement, not a question. So "There is an effect of bean growth under different color lights" is a great start.

Yes, close. But a thesis statement should present something measurable which can be proved or disproved. It would be better as:
"Different colors of light produce a measurable effect on the growth of bean plants."

Try starting your thesis sentence with "In this experiment..."

Then explain WHAT YOU PLAN TO DO ALREADY!!!!

I bet those beans are dying of boredom...

Well I am not too sure but I definately now that a thesis statement cannot be a question
