With the birth of each spring day brings new life, the tulips bloom in a rainbow of colors, a robin chirps in a near by tree bringing nourishment to freshly hatched offspring. The morning dew blankets the grass welcoming in a new day.

The radiant summer sun shines down on my face. I squint, then close my eyes, the warmth hits my skin and warms my core. Beach sand squishes beneath my toes, the ocean waves crash on to the shore as I hear the laughter of children at play. There is a warm breeze, and the smell of grilling hot dogs. A vendor sings the lovely phrase "Ice Cream, get your Ice-cream..."

Nightfall comes quickly these days. There is a chill in the air. The wind washes away thousands, maybe millions of leaves past my window. I smell hot apple cider and grandmas pumpkin pie in the oven. The grass has begun to brown and the birds have all flown south. Squirrels gather their nuts as the smell of burning leaves fills my senses. The winter winds are coming.

Wind Chill, below zero, snow drifts. I wonder if we will have a snow day? The temperature drops below zero and the wind chills my bones. In the distance I hear the songs of the holidays, christmas carolers, sipping on hot chocolate, gathering by a fire. The snow is great for packing. Lets make a snowman...one with a scarf and a hat and a carrot for his nose. The dog days of winter set in. Slush, gray skies and depression. How many more days until spring?????
