Four volumes of International recipes are in order on a shelf. The total pages of each volume are 5 cm thick. Each cover is 5mm thick. A bookworm started eating at page 1 of Volume 1 and stopped eating at the last page of Volume 4. Describe the amount the bookwork at in terms of distance.....please show me how you worked it!! thanks!

How do i find the magnitude of friction force when i know: μs μk and Mass?

its supposed to be if it is a block on a table at rest. and the only other force acting on it is gravity!

and then how do i change it if it is on an incline?? ???

I started redaing this book and it is definitely a tough book.. i have to write an essay on it too.
I have 3 questions about this book.
I'm not sure what Auugustin's purpose of writing this book. what was his goal in writing City of God?
And what are all the differences between the city of God and the City of Man.. well.. i think one represents the church.. like city made up of christians and the other represents kinds of wordly corrupt greedy people...or pagans.. i dunno.. what are the differences between to cities? if u can explain to me specifically... it will be great...
And i know that he had sorta wicked youth..had a baby.. was not a christian.. and believed in things like Manichaean..How did the lifestyle of Augustine's youth influenced this book. pleaz tell me if u know..
can u pleaz help me with this?
i need at least background information just in order to finish this book.. otherwise there's no way i can finish this book.. so hard...it is a heavy reading..

Okay I am getting very lost while I am trying to think of a thesis statement. My teacher wants me to do a persuasive essay for legalizing marijuana. My three subtopics are: reducing marijuana from a schedule 1 drug to a more regulated classification, the positive medical use of marijuana, and alcohol versus marijuana(effects). Can anybody please help me on this? I always have problems coming up with a thesis statement. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okie. New week, new speech topic. This time we have to write a speech that informs the class about something and I decided to write about the Jersey shore.

Basically all I need is just some suggestions on what I should title my informative speech about Jersey shore. I plan on talking about how it's one of my favorite places to be, the advantages/disadvantages and how there are tons of things to do. So with that said, can anyone help me think of a creative title since I'm absolutely terrible at coming up with them? Thanks!

ok--i need to know where i can find the story online. i searched google and it gave me a bunch of links but they all said there were 'Books I,II,III,IV,V, etc, and i didn't even know it had a number of books. i just knew there were 'parts' of the story. if you can help, thanks in advance!!!

I'm doing a science activity on sugar gliders and their babies, but am confused about generations. The original two sugar gliders that I 'have' have two babies. Are their babies the 2nd generation or the 1st? Like, are the two originals the 1st generation or are they like generation 0 and their babies are the 1st? Please help!!
