Since I like meeting people and enjoy do something with people, I have done a lot of activities in my university life of junior and sophomore. In fall and spring, I prepared going for the voluntary activities for farmers, and even though it was hard job, my heart was full thinking I can help others and do something with people, and seeing the seeds which I had sowed in spring could be good harvests encouraged me.
Besides, I remember a lot of activities except participating in voluntary. Preparing to greet for freshmen could help me a lot. I could know a lot of people by those activities and I could learn leadership then.

4. A group of FSU psychologists examined the effects of alcohol on the reactions of people to a threat (Journal of Abnormal Psychology, Vol. 107, 1998). After obtaining a blood alcohol level (BAL) of at least .015, experimental subjects were placed in a room and threatened with electric shocks. Using sophisticated equipment to monitor the subjects’ eye movements, the startle response (measured in milliseconds) was recorded for each subject. The mean and standard deviation of the startle responses were 37.9 and 12.4, respectively. Assume that the startle response x for a person with a BAL of at least .015 is approximately normally distributed.

1. Find the probability that x is between 40 and 50 milliseconds.

2. Find the probability that x is less than 30 milliseconds.

3. Within what limits (upper and lower bounds) would you expect x to fall 95% of the time?

I had written him a letter which I had, for want of better
Knowledge, sent to where I met him down the Lachlan, years ago,
He was shearing when I knew him, so I sent the letter to him,
Just "on spec", addressed as follows, "Clancy, of The Overflow"

And an answer came directed in a writing unexpected,
(And I think the same was written with a thumb-nail dipped in tar)
'Twas his shearing mate who wrote it, and verbatim I will quote it:
"Clancy's gone to Queensland droving, and we don't know where he are."

In my wild erratic fancy visions come to me of Clancy
Gone a-droving "down the Cooper" where the Western drovers go;
As the stock are slowly stringing, Clancy rides behind them singing,
For the drover's life has pleasures that the townsfolk never know.

And the bush hath friends to meet him, and their kindly voices greet him
In the murmur of the breezes and the river on its bars,
And he sees the vision splendid of the sunlit plains extended,
And at night the wondrous glory of the everlasting stars.

I am sitting in my dingy little office, where a stingy
Ray of sunlight struggles feebly down between the houses tall,
And the foetid air and gritty of the dusty, dirty city
Through the open window floating, spreads its foulness over all.

And in place of lowing cattle, I can hear the fiendish rattle
Of the tramways and the buses making hurry down the street,
And the language uninviting of the gutter children fighting,
Comes fitfully and faintly through the ceaseless tramp of feet.

And the hurrying people daunt me, and their pallid faces haunt me
As they shoulder one another in their rush and nervous haste,
With their eager eyes and greedy, and their stunted stunted forms and weedy,
For townsfolk have no time to grow, they have no time to waste.

And I somehow rather fancy that I'd like to change with Clancy,
Like to take a turn at droving where the seasons come and go,
While he faced the round eternal of the cashbook and the journal -
But I doubt he'd suit the office, Clancy, of "The Overflow".

Humans are sexual beings. Sexuality includes our bodies and how they work, our gender roles, and sexual orientation. Sexuality is influenced by one's personality, values, beliefs, physical appearance and by the ways we have been socialized. Describe how mass media (movies, television shows, radio, magazines, the internet, etc.) influences our ideas of sexuality (be sure to comment on society as a whole). Give five specific examples from mass media to support your ideas. Use examples that are both a positive influence on our ideas of sexuality as well as a negative influence.
