This sounds a lot like what I'm suffering from at the moment. As in, I have a lab report due tomorrow and instead I'm sitting here answering questions. Anyway, what I find helpful in this situation is to eliminate all distractions. Close all internet windows, unless you're using one for research, and then discipline yourself to do research only in that window. Close your messenger programs. Hide the phone and game systems. Just get anything that might distract you out of the way. Good luck with your speech!

Nike said it best - JUST DO IT

I'm a fellow procrastinator, and have found the best thing to do is make a deal with yourself, like you can't check Y!A until you've written a paragraph of your speech. Every time you log on here, you'll have written another paragraph. Hope that helps.

First turn off you computer and everything else that can distract you then just start doing your speech there is nothing worse than giving a speech if you aren't prepared let that motivate you :) anyway hardest part is starting so get busy aye :-)
