Ok. This is an essay question that I am really confused on. It is a huge part of our grade, my teacher refuses to help me, and I am totally not sure what to write. Here's the question:
1. In 1492 Christopher Columbus is standing on the shores of San Salvador. What events led him to be here? Why is somebody from the Americas not standing on the shores of Spain?
Please no rude answers. I will award 10 points to the best answerer. Please help me. I am really desperate.

I'm reading a friend's rought draft. What grammar rules are important if you want to begin a sentence with the conjunction "For"?

For example, is this sentence correct: "For it finds its place in loving relationships and friendships, and within those relationships, it is not just valuable, but constitutive."
