Something may seem so obvious, turns out to be wrong.

For example, your intuition probably tells you that out of 23 people chosen at random, the chances that two of them were born on the same month and day, is practically zero. Mathematicians can show that the probability is actually about 50%, so this result is counter-intuitive.
