Social Darwinism takes the biological theory of natural selections and applies it primarly to the business world.

If a person is unable to make enough money to support his family than there is something wrong with that person and it is ok that they are starving because that is the way of the world.

In reality, it was used by rich people to justify themselves while other people who were just as good starved. Some rich people still subscribe to the general idea, but wouldn't ever be caught saying they do.

Social Darwinism is nothing like the theory of evolution. It is a missapplication of Darwin's theory to justify a nation's own political agenda. Societies bear no relationship to animals in the way they evolve.

Social Darwinism is espoused through such areas as open trading (as long as it it to our advantage), lack of welfare (where it concerns individuals, but not when it concerns corporations), and militarism (we win because we are bigger, or more advanced technically, or because our political ideology should be practised by everyone.)

social darwinism is the idea that was prominent amoung europeans during the era of imperialism

it is the idea that races or ethnicities are more fit for survival than others and are therefore designed by nature to dominate inferior races.

it is a misconception and an abusive use of darwins theory of evolution. it was like a justification for being racist

the theory doesnt relate to today
