Our social studies teacher told us to make a project relevant to Spanish influences on the Philippines. I decided to make a handbook about their influences. I include there Spanish to english words, things about food....... And to spice things up a little, I had a Spanish poem in it. Any comments, suggestions on how to spice it up more????? PLease help!! I'm just doubting it that's all.

The Sea (Poetry)
By Natividad Marquez

Why does the Sea laugh, Mother
As it glints beneath the sun?

Is it thinking of the joy, my child
That it wishes every one.

Why does the sea sob so, mother
As it breaks on the rocky shore?

It recalls the sorrows of the world,
And weeps forever more.

Why is the sea so peaceful, Mother
As if it were fast asleep?

It would give our heart, dearest child
The comfort of the deep

The End.

P.S. Thanks

Many who post questions in this category seem to be just looking for an answer (e.g. "Solve this problem: x + 3 = 20.") Many respond with nothing more than "x=17." How does this help the student? Others respond by harassing the asker; how does this help? I've tried an approach I'll share in a minute. I wonder what you all could say to help fine tune it (or get rid of it, or tell me I'm way off track, or whatever)--

"It looks like this might be a homework question. Please feel free to read the assigned material. Then, if you are still uncertain about something, please post your thoughts on-line and we'll help you fine tune them."

Feedback of any kind is appreciated. Kind feedback is most appreciated.

I am on Jupiter and want to test which type of space boots allow me to move on the surface easiest. I use three of the same brand of re-fillable space boots. One pair of boots is filled with Oxygen, one pair is filled with Helium, and one pair is willed with Krypton. I put one pair of boots on and run along the surface of Jupiter for 20 meters. I record how long it takes me from start to finish. I repeat this procedure for all the different pairs of boots.

What is my Manipulated Variable?
What is my Responding Variable?
What are my Controlled Variables? (At least 3)

The zups always run along the same route in Istanbul. They usuallly stop only at the main bus stop. But if you ask the driver, you can get off anywhere . These zups are faster and more comfortable than the buses. At the same time , they are also much heaper than normal taxis. The cost of a trip is divided among the passengers, usually four to five people. for these reasons , zups are a very popular way of getting a round the city. What is zup?
