Finally the last experiment was determining the density of unknown matter. First of all, the mass of given matter was 12.38 g. and volume of water without unknown matter in graduated cylinder was 80.0 mL. However, after putting unknown matter in the graduated cylinder, the volume of the water containing the unknown matter was 82.5 mL. Thus, volume of the unknown matter was 2.5 mL. Also, by the formula, determined the density of the matter was 5.14 g/mL.
This experiment was successful and the purpose of each experiment was achieved. Moreover, this experiment was the chance to learn how to use the instruments and measure correctly.

The second experiment was measuring how many drops of water dropped to increase volume 1.0 mL. In the first measurement, the number of drops to increase volume 1mL, from division 2 mL to 3 mL, was twenty-two. And, the second and third was same, as twenty-two drops. Therefore, the average number of drops of water per milliliter was twenty-two.
The third experiment was measuring length of unknown line. In experiment C, a small plastic scale, one side was calibrated in centimeters divided the millimeters and the other side was calibrated in inches, was used to measure unknown length of the line. Through measurement, the length was 1.94 inches and 4. 95 Cm. Thus, the number of centimeters in one inch was 2.6 Cm/in.

--------Report---------
The purposes of this experiment were how to measure matter, how to use instruments correctly, how to evaluate the quality of balance, and how to determine the density of unknown solid. This experiment consisted of four small experiments
The first experiment was measuring the mass of unknown paper. In experiment A, to measure mass of a given paper, an automatic balance was used. Moreover to get more correct result, the experiment was taken six times. The first, third, fourth and sixth weighing were 3.18 g. However the second weighing was 3.20 g and the fifth weighing was 3.19 g. Thus, approximate value of the mass of unknown matter, the average of five results, was 3.185 g.
