Hey guys I was wandering if there is anybody here who knows of cases when international students got admitted to US medical schools.
Right now I am in my 3rd year doing biology and chemistry, planning to take MCAT in may 07...so I was looking for anybody with similar experience..if there is anybody who knows of cases like this please let me know...
The problem is that lots of my7 teachers at school here say that its extremely hard for international kids to be admitted to med schools...problem is due to residence status i guess...so I m becoming more and more desperate now..some teachers say that i need to get a GC as soon as possible..but the only way for as i can c is thru marriage which is...well I m 20 now and with all the classes its just hard to keep up with dating and everything..damn I really wanna get into med school and be a surgeon after all,,but what if this status as an F-1 student gonna keep me away from my dream....sucks...

Should I just take classes at night? I dont want to because they end at 9 and I m going to get home at 10. It's pretty cold at that time... shoulD I take that class in the afternoon? or should I go to work instead?? I need money but education goes first. This labour government has ploughed billions into eduacation. They say everyone should have the same chance. How can everyone have the same chance if Ruth Kelly is sending her child to a £15,000 a year private school, just because her child is dyslexic. I am a HK student who still has a year and half to go before completing my higher diploma in translation and interpretation. I live in the San Jose area of California, and I want to volunteer with a literacy center that helps teach English to people. After deciding that I should spend more time volunteering, I believe that I can put my fluency in English and Spanish to use if I help teach English to non-native speakers.

I'm 16 years old, so I can get a job doing this if volunteering is not an option.

Does anyone know of any centers like this in the San Jose area of California?
