Well I was just wondering if it were possible to be a nurse and a doctor at the sametime? If you could are there any added benifits in the hospital setting to be both a licensed doctor and nurse?

You can certainly have a your MD and your RN at the same time, however, you would only be able to practice as one or the other in the hospital setting. Besides, why would you want to be a nurse if you could be an MD & make more money.
RNs & MDs are trained in two different models, the nursing model & the medical model, thus if you were trained in both of these models you certainly would make a more rounded medical professional.

Yes, because it's possible to go to school for nursing either work as a nurse for a few years or decide to continue schooling right after graduation to become a doctor. The sorts of beinefits that it would create would be unique to your personal job skills and experiences, but I suppose you'd develop a greater understanding and respect for the medical field as a whole. If you are trying to decide on a career choice, it would probably be best to weigh the positives and negatives of being either a doctor or a nurse as well as consider your own skills and abilities.

It's possible but highy unlikely
Nurses and Doctors must show practical currancy in thier fields. The only likely time it would happen would be a nurse going back to Med school and then interning.
He/she wouldn't neccessarily lose thier nursing license but it would lapse eventually.

don think so!
coz it doesn't make sense! also both doctors n nurses wrk long n hard so, i don think u'll hv much time to be one n thn da other!
stick to one thing!
try to be best at one thing!
but ya u can always make ur way up! study for a nurse(da government pays 4 u!) n wrk for some time, ven u are satisfied n hv enough money to go on- either quit or go part time n go study medicine!
ven u graduate u'll b a doctor! n mayb ur old place will want u back? so getting a job gets easy too!
BEST OF LUCK!
