I have a child that I babysit that has to do a project on an ecosystem, the peice of paper he had sent home saya (Ecosystem in a box diorama) which means he has to do it in a shoebox. What can we do as a project cause I am not real sure what an ecosystem really is?!?!?! His mother ask for my help so please answer me!! Thank you so much!

When my son finished nursery and went into yr 1 he was put on an i.e.p for his reading, this did help him. He is 9yrs.
He then moved up to middle school his i.e.p had lapsed so a new one was started again, for literacy.
He was bought back up to standard and taken off the i.e.p, but because of problems with bullying i changed his school.
His younger brother goes to a nice little small country school (he is 5yrs) and the reason he went to a different school was because he went to a playgroup within the next village, and so i wanted him to stay with friends!! So now my older son goes to this school, he started there 1yr ago.
I had a parents eve last week, to be told that he is bottom of the class etc and needs to go on an i.e.p
His teacher said she is not happy as she read his file and was unaware of the previous history!!!!!
My son is left handed, has no self esteem, no friends, no concentration, and does not complete work, he gets angry when he cant do the work??? He is 9yrs old

I want a timer that will go off when my students need to go somewhere (PE, speech, library, etc.) Our school bells are really messed up. I'd need about 8 timers and they'd sometimes be daily, sometimes weekly. Ones I've looked at only have 2 or 3 settings, and the pill box ones go on the half hour. (I'd need it to go off at 10:15, 10:55, etc.) Can anyone help? Specific brands would be most appreciated.

Whenever I see kids that are homeschooled, they just seem so different and out of place from the rest of society. They don't dress or act like everyone else, and they just seem "sheltered", i guess. Perhaps this is the point...their parents don't want them to be exposed to the negative parts of public schools and society..but still, many kids turn out great from public schooling (myself included). Its seems like kids might need to learn how to interact with MANY other kids and teachers daily, and learn on their own what they do and don't want to participate in, and that homeschooling prohibits this from happening. What are your thoughts? Both from homeschoolees/ers and others.

I have a 3.0 GPA. I got a 27 on the ACT, and I qualify for TOPS, a local program that takes care of a large percentage of tuition. However, my parents are not in the position to pay for the rest of my education or housing, and I am not eligible for student loans because my parents don't pay their taxes, sadly. I only have about $10,000 to spend in 4 years. I plan on going to Southeastern Louisiana University (Avg. ACT: 21, Avg. GPA: 3.0)

For those of you who have dealt with this problem, do you think I will be able to pay for all this without taking out loans?

My son was tested at school for autism and was found to have some symptoms but he is not severe enough for the school to classify him as such. They did recommend having him professionally tested and have blood work done. I live near Omaha, NE and was wondering if there were any doctors near here that anyone would recommended.
