When there are 10, 15, 20 posts in a row about the same topic, it really doesn't matter if you keep changing your user ID. Do you really think people are that dim?

I am specifically referring to the series of posts about the same topic under homework help that are obviously from the same person just trying to get other people to do her homework

There's nothing wrong with HELPING, and there's nothing wrong with asking for help. The problem is people who just want people to DO their homework for them and do not want people to help them help themselves.

And another thing - won't this person's teacher know (s)he cheated, when the assignment turned in clearly isn't in the student's usual wording or of his/her usual quality? In this day and age, teachers must be pretty good at spotting "cut-and-paste-from-wikipedia"-papers, as well as papers written by other people than the student in question.
Anyway, thanks for bringing this up, it's nice to see that a lot of people are somewhat annoyed by students using Y! answers as their free, effortless homework-service. :o)

I think they really do think we are a dumb lot sometimes. The ones that make me laugh are the questions about books or stories they so obviously did not read and are now pressed to get an assignement done. I am not talking about people looking for help understanding a math concept or some symbolism contained with in a piece of writing but the ones that list questions like where was (insert famous name here) born? What are the titles of their works? When did they die? and so on and so on. You know who you are. Just google it folks. If you can ask the question on yahoo answers you are capable of using google. Or the ones that simply cut and paste the whole assignment hoping someone will write a rough draft for them. And often someone obliges.

he he. Yes I've noticed that some people post the exact same question more than once. I don't know why they do that. Guess they're not satisfied with the answers they get, and they somehow think a new question will get new answers?
But I'll tell you what really bugs me. When a kid comes on here asking for help or advice, and someone jumps on being all "don't be asking for help, you can do it yourself." Like why are you even in homework help if you don't want to help?

Yeah, that is pretty ridiculous.

I really don't mind helping someone out with a homework question, but when they are trying to get people to pretty much DO their homework for them, it irritates me. They don't learn ANYTHING.

Everyone needs a little help sometimes, but it is wrong to expect others to do your homework for you.
