The school my kids go to haven't taught it yet...thank goodness...Darwin's dead, Jesus isn't. Evolution has not been proven. We all have the same maker. If a potter makes numerous vases and pots out of clay, wouldn't their be similar bc the design is similar? The same with God, just bc various species are SIMILAR (not alike) just meand we were all created by the same creator.
I believe in evolving, NOT evolution. To clarify, if a fish lives in a cave with no light, they eventually evolve and go blind bc they do not need the eyes. However, they do not evolve into a different species, it's still a fish and the same species of fish, just evolved what they didn't need.
Before his death, Darwin even stated that his hypothesis(meaning and educated GUESS) was not proven.

Because it is a theory, it is not thought of as fact. Theories or parts of theories can be proven wrong and then another theory forms. That's how science works. You have an idea, you test it, if it doesn't work, you test it again with an evolved idea. At least it is falsifiable, when something is wrong, we change our theory and try it again. Just the fact that there are some parts that are wrong suggest that we are doing something right. What about all the evidence in support of the theory.
I also happen to believe that there is a Lepercuan under my table, but whenever you look there it disappears. Nobody has shown me proof that it is false, so it must be true, right?

It is not wrong. There is evidence that something like evolution happens. Evolution is adaptation over a long period of time.
The theory is still taught because it is widely believed to be true. But maybe one day we will discover the world is round...

If you truly look at all the science, you would see that evolution has tons of evidence for it. You would also find out that to not believe in it requires ignoring lots of fossils, observations and studies. So schools teach it in science class because it is science. If you chose not to use science as your basis of knowledge, that's fine, but that isn't how schools are set up.

I'm not sure where you got the idea that it has been proven false. To my knowlege, while it may not be 100% correct, it has not been proven false in its basic premises.

Promise me you'll take a college biology class before you dismiss evolution out of hand.

Whahh? Evolution has not only NOT been proven false it is the basis for our entire scientific understanding of biology. Nothing in biological science works without evolution. I think you need to expand your knowledge base, here.

That's a good question. I go to a church-school, so my teachers teach creation....but I still wonder why evolution is being taught.

if it's wrong ,then how scientists still discover new forms of lives in oceans every 10-15 days, this means they change according to needs , don't they?
