I've taken a job in a language school overseas, the school teaches young children (5-12). The boss wants me to treat the children softly, making them happy. But my attitude has always been to discipline them harshly (no, I don't hit or spank). The boss says that her business is based on children having fun whiloe learning English. But I feel uncomfortable doing things like songs and games because I feel that my dignity is more important. I've always believed in showing children discipline, but she says that I'm too strict and boring. I'm worried about getting fired. How do I go from being the disciplinarian to being more freindly.

im a junior at a public high school and it is mandatory to participate in choir. This year we have a new teacher who has been giving us rather religous pieces that we will be singing in an upcoming performance. I made an appointment to talk with the dean at my school becuase a lot of kids are unhappy about the religous lyrics he has given us.
here are some of them:
"god i would die for thee"
"Mary has came and i am resounding with praise"
"I walk in the light of god"
"god was there when the earth began and for that i sing with joy"

Is this really allowed? Am i fighting for a lost cause?
Also he takes points off for abscenses excused or unexcused. Can he do this if we had excused abscenses by our parents? Doesn't he have to provide an alternate way to make up points?

All of the adults in HS are always telling kids that they NEED to be something successful like a doctor, etc. But honestly, I hate science and I can never put myself through that kind of torture. I do not know what I want to do, and although I am young, I will like to at least get some sort of direction. These are the kind of things that I like;
-I love the world of politics and anything that is considered news, including entertainment. I just love sucking in information
-I like reading about history.
-I plainly just like studying about ANYTHING besides anything that is science related.

Help?

P.S. I took an aptitude test, and it suggested an Economist, Administration, Mayor, or some higher level in some company ruling over people.

I forgot to mention that I am a leader, not a follower.
