Hi, I just got home from taking the gmat I am disappointed by my score of 510. I thought I would do alot better. The past year I've been taking night classes in accounting at a community college, I have 4.0 will admissions take this into account? I'm also going to be participating in some mentorship programs the community college offers in which you work with a CPA, will they take this into account? I know I can do better but I'm extremely busy with work and school so it's hard for me to find study time for the gmat. Do you think the score along with my GPA and my mentorship experience with a CPA will be enough to get accepted to a decent Graduate program?

I got a job offer for 60K/yr as a logistics analyst in south NJ. I had been laid off 6 mos. back, but after looking for work for a while I kinda gave up and got myself admitted into the Masters in Accounting program at UT Austin. Now after 1 month into my new program one of the companies I had interviewed 40 days back finally offerred me 60K for a job. I feel that if I was in a finance/ accounting to begin with I wouldnt have to wait for so long to get another job. SO what do you all think...should I continue in the accounting masters or take up the job? I have substantial scholarships for the MAcc program . On the other hand the salary is 60K. WHich would be better in the long run?

P.S. I was terminated from my last consulting job for a tiny company after barely 2 mos.

Not that long ago a person would say I'm up with that meaning they are in agreement with it or thumbs up. And if you said that you was down with that meant you did not agree or thumbs down. Over the last few years I have noticed and a lot more lately that when someone says they are down with somthing they are meaning they are in agreement with it. Maybe that they can get down with it?

I'm lost when did it all change?

can anyone remember a children's book, probably late 60's/early 70's about twin girls called jane and judy (i think) had a playhouse in their garden and used to have sleepovers and adventures etc etc

a book of short stories, one of them was about them attending their teacher's wedding as bridesmaids because the orignial bridesmaids were unable to attend

i would love to hear from anyone that can remember this book as i would like to find out the name and get hold of it for my young niece

They may be able to claim that anything smaller than Pluto is not a planet. But it was desided long before they came into being that Pluto is a planet. They need to respect those who named it as a planet and retract their claim that it is not.
