This is not rocket science; the answer is well-known. Chickens and other birds descended from dinosaurs. The dinosaurs laid eggs long before there were chickens. The gradually evolved into chickens, hawks, eagles and all the other birds we know today. The egg predates the chicken by millions of years.

It depends what your beliefs are. If you are religious and believe in the bible, then based on that, the chicken came first. If you look at it at a more scientific approach, then the egg came first because scientfically the chicken is decended from a dinosaur (something like that not sure). So basically again it depends on your beliefs. I personally don't care which one came first. All I know is that chicken tastes good and thats all that matters to me.

the chicken. The animals were made first then the reproduction cycles were in put in place creating the process of egg hatching to produce little biddies.

everybody has a different opinion i think chicken came first than egg because god made animal not eggs.

I use to think egg, but i think chicken.think it about this way if it was the egg who would lay it?
