If ya want something conspiracy theory why not go somewhere down the path of Osama Bid Laden (or some one similar) being an agent of the US government. The whole 9\11 type of thing being a project of our own design.

I was in your shoes during Watergate. What a tale that was! I can't imagine that you are having so much trouble, perhaps it is because there is so much material to work with? Why don't you try going with the nuclear weapon line and add a little comedy in there. Or you could go with the rather paranoid position that W is behind the whole thing, getting kickbacks for the Saudi Oil Crisis, and that is why he started conflict in Afghanistan....So many stories; so little time. :) Good luck to you. Hm, you could do something along the lines of the government claiming to be democratic, when in all reality they are the ones choosing, not the people. I dunno.
