All you need is a notebook, pen, and a copy of your schedule. The first day of college is a breeze. What you can expect to happen in the first day is that all of your professors will use this time for introductions, you will also receive your syllabus for each class that you attend that day. You will go through the syllabus line for line to make sure that you understand all that your professor expects from you.
Much won't be going on for the first few days because it leaves time for students to purchase the books needed for classes (sometimes the book is back ordered and the bookstore doesn't have what the students need).
It is also good to bring a PDA or an organizer with you just in case the professor changes project or testing dates. This usually happens on the first day as well.

You'll need your pencil case, a notebook and if you've been given it, your timetable and your student ID card (if your college uses them.)
They'll issue you with text books when you need them.
That's all you'll need unless they've told you to bring something else specifically.
I hope you have fun! First day of college is daunting for every one. I didn't know anyone on my first day and had no clue where i was going but you soon settle in and make friends. Enjoy it!

Nothing just a book and a pen. Since its just the first day even a scrap book will do.
And of course a big smile on your face and lots of enthusiasm and energy.

Well, you should've given us more information to work with, but if you're commuting (driving back and forth from your house to school everyday), all you're going to need is a binder, notebook, or whatever you use to keep your paper (it's just like high school), pen(s), pencil(s), you know, the usual.
If you're going away, then you should've gotten a list of things to bring from your college.

DETERMINATION.
only 10% of graduates with degrees actually USE them in their lifetime. of course, even if you dont use it to make money, its always nice to expand your brain. but dont waste your time and money unless you are really sure of what you want to do. and dont be hard on yourself if you change your mind. no one can expect us to know what we want to do with our lives just because we graduate highschool. explore your options if you need to. and if you settle on something, make sure that it is well thought out. like how much $ you will make, if that is enough, where the jobs are available, the demand for the job, how much you really enjoy it, if there is job security etc. Good luck!

Books, pens, pencils, calculator, erasers, sharpeners...the usual stuff. And ID or acceptance letters for enrolment, passport pictures for your Student ID card if they have one.
