TV, HT Reciever, DVD, and old X-box supplied 220V by overzealous electricians. Is it just a matter of replacing the power supplies? Or will repairs be more than equipment is worth? Most components were 5 yrs. old or older.

My question is how to hook up the VCR so I can record stuff from cable.
So here is the Set Up:
PS3 Connected to TV with HDMI.
PS3 Connected to Receiver with Optical
Cable Box Connected to TV With Composite
Cable Box Connected to Receiver with Digital Coax
Receiver Has No HDMI Whatsoever(In or Out).
Cant find HDMI on Cable box although it should have it.
Though Digital Cable box does also have Optical Out and Video and analog audio out.
VCR also has analog audio and video in and out.
Do you know how I can get the VCR to record and
Also, I do not run video through the receiver because I do not want to lose video quality from future 1080p video from my PS3.

I just bought a 5.1 system consisting of a Denon amp and Audipro speakers. and sub-woofer.
Initially, the voice sounds louder to left. And when I play a CD in stereo, and DVD in stereo or Pro-LII mode, they also sounds louder to the left.
My vendor has calibrated and recalibrated the system. Additionally he has carried out repositioning and toeing-in of the front speakers, and fixed isolators to the centre speaker.

The sound has improved and shifted more towards the centre. But it's still a little bit off to the left.

What else can I do to further improve it and make centralize the sound?

Obviously I'm not looking for a suberb setup in this price range. What I am looking for is a system that has a receiver, DVD player, center channel speaker, 4 sattelites and a sub-woofer.

I did buy one a few years ago for only $200 new and it actually wasn't bad. So I'm thinking that $500 might just blow me away!

If you can revieve HDTV over an antenna, yet RF cables as far as I know can not support HD resoulution, how do you get HDTV over the air? Do you need a special antenna that has HDTV output? Is there one with an HDMI or Component output?

The distance is 6 feet at the most in this small room. I have heard that whether you go 720 or 1080 can be impacted by the viewing distance. How big can I go? Does the DPI matter?

I already have a small, not very powerful 5.0 home theater package attached to a DVD player. I'm buying a receiver soon to replace me old stereo, and I'm not sure if I should buy a surround sound one to prepare for a more powerful set-up down the road, or if I should get a 2.0.

I just inherited a Kenmore surround sound system with an recevier/amp, 5 speakers, a subwoofer, and a DVD player. How do I go about hooking all of this up together and to my flatscreen Sony TV. Any help would be appreciated - and you'll probably need to start with the most basic stuff because I don't know anything about this stuff.

I want an amp with two HDMI output for TV and projector.

Denon's price is 2x of Marantz at least. Is it real much better?

Denon's amp has all new technology like HDMI 1.3a, does it really look much better? I've a SHARP G7 series. (I'm not sure the HDMI version). I've a Panasonic PT-AE1000E or Epson EMP-TW1000 (not yet decided). What should I choose? Should I wait for Denon's amp?

What real benefit for spending 2x more? I've only got 5.1 instead of 7.1 surround sound.

Which projector is better?

Epson has HDMI 1.3 vs Panasonic has <1.3 (actually, is it 1.1 or 1.2?). Does it really matter?
