can you play ps2 games on the 80gb ps3

hey, i have a problem. i´ve ordered a guitar hero 3 (game + controller - include ghd 1&2 ) from ebay and got a ps2 but its not working together somehow and i dont know where the problem could be (im not a video games nerd or somethin) is there any driver i could download or something? please, help :(

Once and for all, does the PS3 play PS2 games? I'm hearing 10 different stories, i was told that only the 60GB plays PS2 games, and then i was told that they no longer make the 60GB, so once and for all DOES THE PS3 PLAY PS2 GAMES?????

i have one of each being delivered today, which one should i keep, the 60gb is £60 more expensive. we have 2 x ps2's and 1x ps1, cant fathom what the differences are between them apart from the hard drive memory. this is a xmas gift for my kids and husband, not sure which one to give them and which one to send back, please advise!!!!!

Since my xbox360 keeps dieing every second month( 2 night agos, it died for the third tome in the last 6 months ), so i am thinking to get a ps3.

well, i have never had a play station gaming console. Do you think there is going to be any Good Shooter game made for ps2 that i want to play on ps3 ? if yes, so i have to go for ps3 with 60 gb ( due to backwards compability ) , if not, so 40gb should be my choice.

Please consider that i am a FPS gamer only and i have played most the new FPS games on my xbox360 so far.
( for example, i presume i would love the game Uncharted, but sadly its not available for xbox360 and only for ps3 ).

So again, my concern is: if there is any GOOD Shooter game for ps2 that a gamer like me would still like to play it on ps3 ? if there is, i would appreciate some names, so that i can check them out.

I have a PS3 imported from USA. Many websites say that ps3 is region free. Is this only valid for PS3 games? Because I've been trying to play PS2 games on it (they're European) and they do not work... Any advice?
Is there a chip that enables this???

i am 14 yrs old and i have 5 A's and one C. i have a C in english (Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet tests were hard). and i am a good student very quite during class. and i only have a broken playstation 2 (i didnt break it.... honest) with 4 games and a game boy color with 5 games. So... if you were my parents would you get me a playstation 3 for Christmas?

i have a ps3
i want to enjoy with the same line of products
im planning to get a PSP
to do all that media sharing and remote play and wireless accessing, i just find all that tech and games so great and enjoying


but does anyone know if when your connected to Wi-Fi on your PSP, can you play online? or is that a feature in the future
none of my friends have done it
but is there online play with PSP?
also, which should i get, the slim one? the star wars limited? the regular, i have no clue on which to buy
