Although the games for the PS3 are region free, the software may detect where the machine is supposedly hailed from and edit the content based upon that location. Recently it was noted that the game Uncharted, has no blood in the Japanese version of the game, while the US version of the game has a considerable amount of blood in it.

Unlike DVD's, PS3 games are region free. The only difference would be a few different language options.
