Pardon my ignorance, but I'm old. I am considering getting rid of my landline and using cell only. I am currently in a plan where I pay approx. $8 per month plus .10 per minute for every call. And I think .15 for LD calls.

So my question is - in those plans where you pay a higher monthly fee and get X number of hours, are you also paying per minute for calls, or are they free until you reach that number of hours? Does it matter if they are long distance calls?

I assume I'll want to figure out how much time we spend on all of our phones, and choose a plan that fits.

Are there any other things I should consider in choosing a cell plan?

I have a Verizon phone and I sent photos to my Picture Place and I was able to copy them to My Pictures on my computer, but they are soooo teeny tiny. How can I get them a little bigger without garbling them all up?

Right now, I have a t-mobile phone that I have had for quite a bit now. I wanted a newer, better phone but ones that I seem to like are on the Cingular network. Is there anyway I can keep teh same number on a different network? (T-mobile to cingular)

I'm on a contract with vodafone at the moment, and want to keep this sim if possible. I am looking into buying a new phone though, and wondered if I was restricted to phones which only provide vodafone sim cards? If I were to get a pay as you go phone on, say virgin mobile, would my vodafone sim work with that phone? - I dont like the phones available with vodafone at the moment lol. I remember a while ago I put a sim from another network into an orange mobile phone (that was a nokia) and that worked, how can I tell what model of phone my vodafone sim will work in?
I quite like some of the motorola models. Any help here would be appreciated.
I'm looking into asking vodafone for an upgrade, but the last time I did that, the phones they offered seemed to be 'downgrades' from the phone I had!
