i have bidded on item 190081146491 on ebay.co.uk but havent realised its a contract phone to take over. its brand new and just requires a contract sim but as im on pay as you go ive bidded against a phone i cant use. anyone willing to put a bid in to get me out of a sticky situation?? my max bid is £40..anyone who puts a bid in over this will be the new present winner? someone out there help me out!?

Why not contact the seller and get the bid retracted.

Most of the time you can use a "contract phone" on pay as you go service.. you just can't use a pay-as-you-go-phone on contract.. The reason for this is.. if you want to pay FULL retail price for the phone (at the store that is), why would they stop you? if you get a contract phone to use on pay-as-you-go they get way more money for the phone (if you get it with a contract, you usually get it for like $200 off). Call your carrier and ask if you can use it on pay as you go. I work for Cingular and you can with them.
