The 070 prefix is now well known as a prefix for scam numbers. DON'T call them back at all. You have, most likely, been charged a fair amount for the call, & you could try to get the money back from your provider as a one-off mistake, but you shouldn't call those numbers back again. Most mobile prefixes are 077 or 079, so if it's not one of those, don't call it back.

It is a scam. They ring you and they either pretend they cant hear you or give 1 ring so you ring them back and get stung £15. The scam probably originates from Nigeria.

it isnt a scam number because they start with either 08 or 09 , if they call you any way dont answer just go to a pay phone and call them from there that way you cant loose any money just incase it was a scam , any way i hope this helps bye

the best thing to do would be to call from a payphone because you cannot get any unwanted charges on your bill but if they call again dont answer!

use a payphone and put in the minimum and see if it runs out fast or normal rate.
