Right now, I have a t-mobile phone that I have had for quite a bit now. I wanted a newer, better phone but ones that I seem to like are on the Cingular network. Is there anyway I can keep teh same number on a different network? (T-mobile to cingular)

Make sure that you talk to Cingular 1st, they will tell you what you need to do to switch.

Don't cancel your T-Mobile account or else they will give your number to someone else.

Also if you are under contract...you might want to wait until you are out of it before you switch...there is usually over a $100 fee.

or what you can also do is get an unlocked cingular phone and just put your sim card in it, thats if you are happy with t-mobiles network. because if you switch there will be an activation fee of ususally $35 and the first bill will be high due to pro-rated charges and month in advance fees.

almost all service providers allow you to keep the same cell number now. Sometimes there is a service fee for it, but in exchange for not having to deal with the hassle it is defintally worth it.

Yes...go to new provider and they can keep your number I think it takes 4-7 days, so you'll have to keep your old plan active until it switches.
